The Institute for Ecotourism
Summary
The Institute for Ecotourism is a community resource that promotes environmentally sensitive travel and tourism as a means to educate, inspire and inform travelers about the region’s precious natural environment and its cultural treasures.
Full Description
Located next to the historic cultural villa of Tlaquepaque in Sedona, Arizona, the Institute of EcoTourism aims to be a community resource for environmental education, resource conservation, and just plain fun. Our facility is the first privately funded certified Green Building in Arizona. That means we have gone to great lengths to create a space that is in harmony with the environment. We have utilized recycled building materials whenever possible, minimized construction waste and the use of toxic materials, and have designed the building for maximized energy efficiency.
